Frequently Asked Questions

Why was my account not found?

There are several possible reasons why your account cannot be found.

  • Your account simply doesn't exist - or exists under a different e-mail address, try entering alternative e-mail addresses which you use or may have used in the past.
  • Your account was un-verified and hence was deleted by the system after it reached the 10 day expiry limit.
  • Your account may have been deleted or merged by an admin, you would have been informed if this was going to happen.

What is IRC and how do I use it?

IRC is an acronym, it stands for Internet Relay Chat. You may have used similar-to-IRC programs, such as ICQ, Microsoft Instant Messenger or AOL Instant Messenger applications.

IRC is similar to these in the respect that you can 'talk' in real-time with other people via your keyboard, however IRC is a much more capable tool. Allowing you to talk to multiple sets of people or groups, indeed mIRC has much better capabilities than the aforementioned products - and is also shareware.

For more information on IRC please read the Internet Relay Chat page as F2C.NET runs several channels to assist in the running of the leagues and the website.

Why should I join the F2C.NET players database?

Participation in any activities organised or made possible by F2C.NET, such as our gaming leagues, the discussion forums and our clan database are simply impossible without membership. All you need to join is a working e-mail address and a few details such as your country of origin, nothing more - and all we ask is that you keep your e-mail address up-to-date during your membership so that we can contact you should the need arise - it rarely does!

Does F2C.NET have a privacy policy?

Yes we do! You can read it here in full.
F2C.NET is also a member of the Platform for Privacy Preferences (P3P) Project which is a new automated way for users to gain more control over the use of their personal information on Web sites they visit via better webpage-browser integration.

Why do I have to verify my account?

Un-verified accounts are unable to join existing F2C.NET teams or register new teams for F2C.NET leagues, nor are they able to add to content in the site including the forums and any other user-configurable part of our portal. F2C.NET is a gamers portal - we can give you a much better browsing experience if we know who you are! Accounts which are not verified 10 days after they were created will be automatically deleted by the system.

How do I verify my account?

On the creation of a new account you will have been automatically sent a unique verification code to the e-mail address you specified. To verify your account all you need to do is re-visit any of the F2C.NET sites and log-in, upon logging in a Account Warning notice will pop up and provide a link to verify your account!

I'm having trouble logging in, what should I do?

I you are having trouble logging in there could be a number of reasons;

  • Passwords are case-sensitive, this has been added recently to increase account security.
  • The account you desire to log into may not exist, in which case the site will indicate this to you. If this is the case then please register again and ensure you verify your account!

If you are unable to remember your exact password it is advised that you request a password reminder which will be sent to your e-mail account. If you still have problems after this please contact the F2C.NET Webmaster.

Do I or my fellow clan members need to download any extra files to play in this League?

We try to keep it simple and only bring in a couple of extra maps (or levels) each Season, this helps keep the League fresh with new tactics being constantly developed by clans. The maps being used for the current Season can be downloaded from the fast links on the maps page.

How can my clan enter the League?

Firstly read and understand the rules page, if you have a sufficient level of authority in your Clan then you can continue on to the sign-up page which you must fill out with 100% legitimate details. If you are just a pe0n in your clan, then inform your Clan Leader or Deputy Clan Leader about the UKTFCL and direct them to http://uktfcl.far2cool.com where they can learn more about the League..

How do can I play league matches on my clan server?

Your clan leader or deputy should enter your clan server details whilst they are logged into F2C.NET, once fully entered these details will become available for league Admins to see, and administer. Thy will then be able to easily approve or decline your application to play league matches on this server.
Be warned, that as soon as you modify your server information it will once again fit in the 'un-approved' category, this is help the Admins track these changes.

How do I enter results of a league match?

Only one clan should enter the match result (occasionally both clans may accidentally enter the result but this can be easily rectified by an admin). Once the result has been entered into the system by the first clan, typically the clan who won the match, the second clan should simply hit the 'approve result' button whilst logged into F2C.NET, shortly (or immediately) afterwards the results of this match will be reflected accordingly in the appropriate league table.

How do I make matches official?

You don't, simply playing the clan and then entering the match result directly after the game - followed by the opposition clans conformation of this result is enough for your team to count that result in the League Table.

I added my player details to the UKTFCL database, but I do not appear on my clans' approved members list. Why not?

The leader of your clan has to approve your entry. The reason for this is otherwise people could claim that they were in any clan they wished, and there would be mayhem. Ask your clan leader to log into the clan administration section of the site and approve your entry. As soon as he does this, you will appear in the members section of your clan's page.
Note: whether you are approved by your clan or not, you will still appear in the UKTFCL players database.
